Less than two weeks ago the Attleboro High School indoor track teams served notice that they were the ones to beat in the Eastern Athletic Conference as they swept a dual-meet against rival Bishop Feehan. For those who weren't paying attention the Bombardiers proved that they indeed are the best in the EAC as both the boys and girls rolled to victory at Wednesday's league meet held at the Reggie Lewis Center. Bishop Feehan was runner up on both sides. "The kids were fired up and looking forward to the meet. They were just awesome," said AHS coach Peter Lacasse. "We had a lot of personal bests, a lot of first-place finisher and the boys got huge contributions from the captains." Added Feehan coach Paul Powell, "Attleboro is such a strong team. We knew we'd have to to be at our best to give them a run. I think we gave them a run, but they just have so much depth on both sides." On the girls' side, Attleboro racked up 107 points for first place while Feehan was 17 points back for second place. The Bombardiers crowned league champions in five different event, including the 4x400 relay.
